Yule, Barony of Winter's Gate

Outside it is cold and dark, but Yule in Winter's Gate will be warm and bright. The Autocrat will be sponsoring a Nine Men's Morris prize tournament. the Baron's Whim is demonstrations of the courtly arts. he will be observing the populace throughout the event, looking for the best examples of courtly graces, courtesy, and pageantry. the Baroness' Whim is warm libations (non-alcoholic). The Autocrat's Whim is evergreens in any mode. The Feast will be a pot luck. The Fool's on-going "road kill" contest will continue at this event. Finally, no Winter's Gate Yule would be complete without a gift exchange!

Site Information: Midnight Sun BSA Office, 1400 Gillam Way, Fairbanks, AK. Site opens at 12 noon and will close at 9pm. This is a dry site. Event fee is $5 for members, $10 for non-members, with a $20 cap for families, age 12 and under are free. Checks should be made to "SCA, Inc. - Barony of Winter's Gate".

Directions: Take your best route to Airport Way. turn South onto Gillam Way. The Midnight Sun BSA Office is on the right at the south west corner of 14th Avenue and Gillam Way. The site is accessed from Gillam Way.

Yule of Cloth of Gold, Barony of Eskalya

Pagentry, contests, fighting, and fabulous food! All are invited to join the Barony of Eskalya aas we celebrate the turning of the year in grand style. The inaugural Iron Dress competition will be judged, a new Mistress or Master of Ambrosia will be chosen, there will be fighting, dancing, and frivolity. And did we mention, the splendiferous Mistress Anne of Bradford will be cooking the Feast? Let the revelry commence!

Site Information: First Congregational Church of Anchorage, 2610 East Northern Lights Blvd. The site opens at 12 noon and closes at 8pm. Site fees: $12 for memebers, 417 for non-members, $5 for children 5-12, under 5 are free. Please make checks payable to "SCA, Inc. - Barony of Eskalya".

Directions: From East of Lake Otis: Take Northern Lights Blvd west, the Church will be on the left just after UAA Drive. From West of Lake Otis: Take Northern Lights Blvd. east, the Church will be on the right, just after Lake Otis.
